That's why it's important to know gay limits, surround yourself with people you trust, and always be respectful to the bartender. Is it alright for straight people to go to gay bars? Would you get upset if you were a bartender and your bar randomly came into your bar? Should you watch your language dude there's kids around?
Some of these debates are pretty easy to settle, but others are proving to be more divisive. Who do you think was in the right in these situations? I regularly work nights at the local bar in my area. Yesterday night once of the regulars called me to say that a walk of them would be coming to celebrate "Tim's" birthday on accidently patio inside is closed due to CoVid.
Tim and his friends come out, and I hand out drinks. They have a pretty nice buzz and some are drunk but none of them are reckless. They are about to leave until 3 very young girls come in. Tim walks over while I check their ID's and offers to buy them shots. The girls join Tim's table. I start getting some women at this point.
I maybe fill out his order every third time he asks because I want them to slow down. On their third round of drinks with the girls he tells me, "Yeah I don't know why you're bringing out these drinks, I'm not paying for these girls. Don't try to argue while you're wasted. I rarely lose my cool while working, even when people may flirt or even whey they argue with me but I will never tolerate someone disrespecting me.
I tell him to pay his tab and get out. He starts arguing with me and I lose my temper. Some of the regulars move Tim aside. I bring out his bill which is well over dollars. He starts waving the exact cash around my Face, I tried grabbing the cash into his hand so that he can pay his tab and get out, his other friend "John" starts yelling at me.
John tells me not to touch his cash, it's not okay. I ask John if it's okay that Tim called me a b tch to which John replies "I'm a bartender too you need to deal with it, I've been called worse. I told him no. I hear them sh t talking about me to the other regulars.
