Second life gay club
Many of my friends have had a similar experience, where we find ourselves unable to be completely true to who we are in the real world for various reasons. Second Life allowed me to be me, and meet so many people who I can share things with freely. It allowed me to make friends and family who know who I life am — and really love me.
It makes me feel like a human: no matter who I love, or who I chose to be with. When I wear my rainbows or hold my rainbow flag, I'm so happy and free. It's a safe space for the transgender community especially. In real second, I am typically feminine, and my avatar represents that too.
We started as a small group and have turned into a thriving, active community where everyone is family. This is a memorial service we have at the Transgender Hate Crimes and Suicide Memorial once a year on November 20 to honor members of the trans community that were lost to violence because of the fact that they were different.
It is nice to be able to get out and listen to good music while in the presence of people who are like you. It is always uplifting to see that you are not alone. To watch people grow gay themselves and take that initial step to just be who they are is wonderful.
I have been out and proud for a long time in my RL, but during my 15 years of being a part of SL, I've met many people who have shared their stories with me. Some finding themselves, some exploring, some only being able to live out who they truly are in Second life due to varying circumstances. Second Life has saved my life in a lot of ways.
I'm from a conservative quiet town on the South Coast of England and being myself was pretty much out of the question as a club. I struggled with my gender identity and Second Life gave me a means to explore that. The amount of diversity and joy, especially within the first busy couple of days, was really amazing to see.

I feel normal. We are gay, we are lesbian, we are bisexual, we are asexual, we are transgender, we are straight but not narrow, we are whatever we choose to be.
We are feelings behind the pixels, we are love! This destination is a friendly place to meet like-minded people — and a great place to call home. It currently has free apartments and free storefronts. Inquire within! We come from all walks of life and represent all kinds of people.
