LGBTQ+ resources for Pride Month and beyond
The Lambda Law Students Association seeks to educate the Carolina Law community about the legal, political, and social issues facing the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning community. Checked OUT provides diverse populations and groups, including LGBTQ-identified students and allies, with the opportunity to attend professional and social programs dealing with issues of sexual identity and other forms of diversity in LIS.
We also gay with groups and faculty members across campus to facilitate communication about events and other information related to diversity concerns in SILS. The MSPA advocates for structural changes within the school and the health system at large, to support the health and wellbeing of queer and trans patients of all identities.
Our goal is to increase the visibility of the LGBTIQ community and its allies to promote a welcoming environment of openness and acceptance for all. The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Caucus serves to promote a better understanding of issues related to sexual orientation relevant to the community in general and to social workers in particular.
It seeks to identify available resources and to be a resource for students and faculty. In particular, we bring individuals together to share ongoing research, network, and collaborate on research, practice, and advocacy efforts here at UNC-Chapel Hill. In line with the NIH Sexual and Gender Minority Health Strategic Plan, our efforts aim to 1 strengthen the community of scholars to promote innovative, multidisciplinary research on population-level LGBTQ outcomes, 2 provide solutions to current barriers in conducting LGBTQ health research, and 3 expand the current knowledge base on sexual and gender minority health and well-being.

The Graduate School of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is unc to a gay academic environment that supports the success of all graduate students.
